A Note from Erin,

Happy New Year! I am looking forward to an exciting year with all of you! If you haven’t registered yet for the new membership year, please do so! We have an “Early Bird” special of 10% off your gift if you register by January 16, 2023! Registration for all memberships is open until Feb. 28th. As a friendly reminder, your current membership continues until May 1, 2023.

Our next event will be our Founders Event – “Breakfast at the Mansion,” on March 23rd with First Lady Abby Cox and Board Chair Kathi Garff at the Governor’s Mansion. This will be a breakfast event and will be limited to members only. You must register on the Eventbrite link to attend this event, and space is limited.

Finally, last year we sent calendar invites out for the entire year in an effort to help everyone to know what was coming up. We discovered that it was very difficult to keep track of RSVPs as some people accepted calendar invites and others registered on Eventbrite. Going forward, we will be only sending out Eventbrite links. When you RSVP “yes,” you have the option to add to your calendar.

At a glance:
Founders Breakfast – Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the Governor’s Mansion
Women Who Succeed Conference – Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the University of Utah
Diamonds on Ice – September 2023 (date & location TBD)
Girls Give Back! – Saturday, November 4, 2023  (location TBD)

Smaller gatherings may arise, but we’ll keep you posted. Please always register using our Eventbrite links.

Round 1 – Women Who Succeed Scholarships

We are proud to announce that in the first round of this year’s WWS Scholarships, we were able to award scholarships to 54 young women attending 15 institutions!  These dollars have an incredible impact on the lives of these female students and on their ability to enter into and complete higher education.

A special thanks go out to each of the women who volunteered on our scholarship committee, sharing their time in reviewing and grading essays during the busy holiday season.  We also thank Mentors for taking the time to write exceptional letters of recommendation for their mentees.  Finally, we appreciate each of our Women Who Succeed members, who participate in myriad ways, for your financial donations making this scholarship program possible.

Please note that the second round of scholarships is open from February 1st – March 15th.  Mentees who have and haven’t already received WWS scholarships are eligible to apply.

Spring 2023 Internship Cohort

This year, an astounding 138 mentees statewide have indicated that they would like to complete an internship through our Women Who Succeed network!  This Spring, we look forward to hosting an internship cohort from February to May (dates may be flexible).  We encourage you to identify internship opportunities within your companies and areas of influence.

Internships may be paid or unpaid, on-site or remote, depending on organizational needs.

If you are interested in hosting a WWS intern, please complete our INTERN REQUEST FORM (link below) by January 31st.
